The new Cricket only channel of Pakistan, The PTV Cricket HD will be launched soon. It is more likely to replace the current PTV Sports channel. The test transmission to start in February 2019 on the same frequency as of PTV sports.

Moreover, this new PTV Cricket only channel is going to be the first Pakistani Government owned channel which starts its transmission in HD.

 

The Minister of Information has already spoken about it. The work for the new channel is already in progress. So it’s more likely that the channel starts Airing as a test transmission at the start of next month.

We have decided to launch two new channels of PTV,a dedicated Sports Channel to cover all sports except Cricket and present PTV Sports shall be rebranded as PTV Cricket. A dedicated Channel for Children under sixteen…. All suggestions welcome

 Beside this, another new channel going to be announced soon. It’s said to be Youth/Kids special channel which will air all type of international content as well.
