TEN Sports 2 coming soon! Green signal from PEMRA.

One more new channel entry into the sports category. Yes, the TEN Sports 2 coming Soon to Pakistan. Since we all are waiting for the launch of Pakistan DTH service. Such news increases the anticipation to the next level.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has officially issued the Landing Right Permission (LRP) to the TEN Sports 2 broadcasting company the M/S Tower Sports Pakistan.

The decision was made in a meeting held in Islamabad, in which Chairman Pemra awarded the Landing rights for the TEN Sports authorities. TEN Sports 2 will be the second sports channels by TEN network Pakistan.

Since Pakistan DTH is coming. Such new channels will add more choice for the subscribers to choose from a different variety of Sports Channels.

TEN Sports 2 Coming Soon:

A representative from Tower Sports claimed that the new TENSports 2 channel will likely to bring the famous EPL (English Premier League) along with La Liga and SERIE A for the Pakistani audiences. However, there is still no confirmation of this TEN 2 Sports channel being HD or the same SD quality as the TEN Sports current Channel.

History of TEN Sports:

The TEN sports was first formed by TAJ television network back on 2002 in Dubai. Later it was sold to Indian subsidiary Zee Entertainment, which then adds another channel TEN Cricket. But in 2016 Sony Pictures Network bought the entire network from the Zee company and renamed all channels with SONY TEN initials.

Currently, there are 6 Sony TEN channels being broadcast on Indian Paid DTH service. That list includes:

• 1- Sony TEN 1 (SD & HD)
• 2- Sony TEN 2 (SD & HD)
• 3- Sony TEN 3 (SD & HD)
• 4- Sony TEN SIX (SD & HD)
• 5- Sony TEN Golf  (HD)
• 6- Sony ESPN (SD & HD)

While in Pakistan the TEN Sports 2 Channel application came at a moment when we all are anxiously waiting for the launch of first ever Pakistan DTH service.

We hope that more new channels to be added in the sports category including the BOL Sports HD, ARY Sports HD, and the PTV Sports HD channels.
